With a slightly higher silk content than your average silk-mohair, this base feels heavenly soft. Since it is non-superwash treated and has a silk core, this base gives a blurred, ethereal take on each colourway.

This base is a beautifully delicate base, with amazing meterage. It can be used as a substitute for a silk-mohair, held with another strand for a larger gauge or held alone for lace knits. The baby alpaca and silk make an airy, ethereal base that feels almost weightless next to skin.

Please note that each colour will show up differently on each base. In particular non-superwash merino bases will appear less vibrant in comparison to the superwash treated merino bases. See an example below with the non-superwash merino on the left and the superwash merino on the right.
